Essentialpim last xp version11/14/2023 ![]() ![]() Here it also depends on the time and the demands. I got to know 16-bit, but many things were not possible as under 32-bit. would be faster in a 64-bit version - but that's not so extreme with EPIM that you can work well with it. Changing the views/page structure mail/calendar/notes etc. Whenever graphic components are used to display lists or overviews, you notice the difference. Hier kommt es wohl auch auf die Zeit und die Ansprüche an.īut one cannot deny that the graphical structure and execution of 64-bit programs is faster than 32-bit and that users mostly prefer the 64-bit versions instead of 32-bit. When windows 10 officially becomes unsupported it will finally be the end of official 16-bit program support. ![]() Which since 128-bit+ windows isn't even a thing yet, it is probably quite safe to assume we have a long while, and will get a bit of notice. There was a 64-bit version of windows 2000, but it was never officially released so the first official 64-bit OS and the one that started the slow process of killing 16-bit programs was windows XP 64-bit which I believe was 2002, so assuming the current windows 10 is the last supported that means it'll have taken 23 years for 16-bit support to officially end after it started the process. Which for the sake of fun will be apx 64 years after the first 64-bit CPU was made. Which at this point my best crystal ball seems to say "out look cloudy". Which would indicate that if historical trends repeat then 32-bit will fade out when something above 64-bit takes over the market. Virtually all 32-bit version of windows support running 16-bit programs, and one of the main reasons to still use 32-bit windows 10 is to run 16-bit programs and windows 10 32-bit is still supported. Proving a network is already in place, nothing extra is needed to take advantage of the powerful features of EssentialPIM Pro Network which makes it easy to coordinate a group of workers. For the sake of humor / information I'd like to point out that the only reason MS "killed" 16-bit programs on windows is because of the move to 64-bit. The network version of the program has been designed with small to medium-sized businesses in mind and makes it easy to share information between workers. ![]()
